Betsy Mosley

Betsy Jackson Mosley has over 25 years of experience in providing leadership in advancement services to enhance fundraising planning, execution, and assessment. Betsy served as the executive director of the Tennessee State University Foundation, a 501©3 charitable organization, where she directed the daily operations and served as liaison to the Foundation Board to ensure efficiency and compliance in supporting the growth in endowment and net assets from $34 Million to over $70 Million during her tenure. Betsy also facilitated the process of issuing the RFP and selection of endowment investment consultants with the Foundation Board.

 

Prior to TSU, Betsy served as director of advancement services at Bethune-Cookman University and established the first office of development services at Spelman College which supported Spelman’s first $82 million campaign and led the team in a major database conversion. Her range of expertise includes leading institutionally related foundation operations, nonprofit business process development, endowment reporting and stewardship, board development and engagement, campaign preparedness and planning and fundraising support team building. Betsy has a wealth of expertise in Ellucian Banner Advancement as well as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database technology. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama, and she earned the Master of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.
