Cathy K. Floyd

Cathy Floyd is an accomplished marketing and business development executive with over 30 years of experience 

leading brands and initiatives with a world class Fortune 50 technology company. Combining vision and execution, she has a proven record of driving business growth and results within organizations that succeed in highly competitive markets.  Cathy’s work focuses on developing strategies that embed best practices within an organization to help position brands, enable sales teams and generate revenue. Recognized for her leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, Cathy is a global leader who has successfully managed projects in the 

United States, Canada, Europe and Japan.

Cathy is currently a Marketing Executive focused on Diversity and Inclusion, helping women and diverse business owners leverage technology to accelerate the growth of their businesses. Her management experience includes working with enterprise clients, small and medium businesses, industry teams and business partners. As a Business Development Executive, Cathy developed comprehensive plans to drive adoption of technology and innovation within the software developer ecosystem and startup community in the San Francisco Bay area. Cathy led initiatives with the Startup America partnership, building alliances with the country’s most innovative corporations, universities and foundations to create networks and develop resources to promote and expand entrepreneurship throughout the nation. 

In her community, Cathy is very active promoting STEM and robotics in local schools. She serves on the Board of Directors for Grace House Ministries, Inc., a residential campus providing homes education and enrichment for girls in foster care. She is a mentor for students and early career professionals, serving as an Advisor for the National Society of Black Engineers Junior chapters. 

Cathy began her career as a product engineer and product manager for electrical distribution equipment. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and her MBA from the USC’s Moore School of Business. Cathy and her husband have three young adult children.
